ApnaPaisa secures investment from Sequoia, Jafco

ApnaPaisa, which operates ApnaLoan and ApnaInsurance has raised investment from Sequoia and Jafco. ApnaPaisa offers price comparison services for products such as Health insurance, Term Life, Critical Illness, home loans, personal loans, loan against property, business loan, plot loans, car loans, education loans and credit cards etc.

This is ApnaLoan’s second round of funding (Sequoia invested $2.2mn in 2007).

Lead generation business is probably one of the few businesses that interest VCs when it comes to funding Internet companies – other players in this business include LoanRaja (Komli), Deals4All, LoanWala and several other vertical sites, esp. in financial sector (like iTrust.in).

Have you used ApnaLoan/ApnaInsurance? Any feedback?
