Calling Indian Angel Investors

March 18, 2009
By sinha

I have been receiving lot of requests from early stage startups looking for angel investments. While there are few very standard seed funds in India, this is an attempt to reach out to several other angel investors who would like to invest in early-stage tech startups (specifically electronics, e-waste, healthcare).

Please mail me your details (a little bit of background will help) to ashish at pluggd.in and I will connect the dots.

Good hear something like this in proto. This is a great effort.

Especially the industry of investment you have chosen. We don’t have many good companies doing well in electronics and healthcare.
(issues may be the investment required are huge “angel i investment may even call for 1M$” and long-term vision and persistence).

What i have seen is there are hardly any indian company who are good at
electronics (especially high-speed Data-acquisition-systems DAS) and hardcore healthcare product companies. We are still in 1940’s in these 2-segments

    ( import and sell ).

    Good Luck Ashish.

actually Angel investor is a very loaded term . it comes with a lot of (western) baggage. so most of indians don’t think that they are “angel investor” and don’t look actively seek investment opprtunity .result?? people with money Buy Gold or worse “Black Money”

one good way to find out Angel investor in india is to contact a well placed CA or Tax Attorney . these guys know all the High Networth individuals in your area . they know their balance sheet and their area of interest and attitude toward investment. to top all this HNI trust them.
