Startups and solutions for religious, devotional markets?

Its a pretty big business in India, with steady cash flows, across economic strata and geographies. What startups, apart from VAS players selling devotional content, have tried creating solutions for this space? Temple management, e-collections, appointments, etc?

good point sameer.. i heard big software giants already doing some projects with TTD and other temples.. but it got good space that some one can enter and do some magic

This is something even I was pondering about. Religious & Devotional markets are real money spinners and its time some start ups think of addressing problems of this space. But problem is, atleast in Karnataka, temples etc come under the jurisdiction of state govt. and it takes a lot of lobbying and stuff just to sell a computer to the any of the religious institutions. I have seen some of the renowned temples use real louse softwares to manage their operations. Big bucks spent on buying the software, maintaining & even in terms of salary to the data entry operators(specially trained just to use these software's as no normal human can ever get a hang of them). Glad that it helps in creating a few jobs.

My startup would really like to get into this domain, with the ample of opportunity in this space. But the red tape scares us.
