FaceBook Apps – Fun dominates Dating!

MySpace is for hep kids, and FaceBook though started as a upstart college network is now turning into a fun place.

OF the 23,160 FaceBook apps, fun based apps dominate the usage:

Top 5 companies with most popular FaceBook app are Slide, followed by RockYou, SGN (which recently moved from #20 to #3), Zynga, Chainn (get the list here).

Is FaceBook becoming the eBay for developers?

Will Orkut apps/OpenSocial get the same developer love (since I don’t think Google allows running ads on Orkut and as of this date, OpenSocial is damn buggy and slow)?

What do you think?

orkut and facebook are popular at diff places..
….. orkut is doin well in low bandwidth regions like India… and they have jus started… facebook is high on hangout funda.. i wonder watchin my friends passin time with “zombie” .. bite… like apps over facebook… but thats what a virtual world of social network has to offer..
… orkut i think will hv sm problem to get “developer love” because google has a habit of keepin things under control and compromisin very less on its strats..
they won let apps on their own server..
they won even let them use a FULL page app …
… bt yeah google guys r real smart… they ll do smthn grt in near future also[about developer's love!!]
