Eventzilla – Online Ticketing Solution for Events

Eventzilla is an online ticketing solution for events from Chennai based startup Thoughthub Solutions. The product is targeted at all types of event organizers ranging from workshops to tour operators to night clubs. The solution is free for signup and setup and comes with the usual set of features.

  • Send notifications to attendees
  • Manage cancellations

The product is looking to target organizers from across the globe and already has couple of events hosted. The payment option currently available is only credit cards through paypal, which might be a resistance for Indian audience. On the pricing front they are competing strongly with Ayojak (5% +Rs.15) and DoAttend (4.9% +Rs.15) at a fee of 4.75% + Rs.15 in India. Though for international currencies it is cheaper at 1.5% + ~$0.5 with a cap of $5. There’s no charges for free events.

The UX from an attendee PoV is same as Ayojak and DoAttend, though for first time users the Paypal signup still is a friction. The team is looking to add few more payment solutions, integrate CRM platforms like SalesForce, Netsuite etc. and also enabling mobile ticketing in near future.

      I am here to clarify that Eventzilla has flexible payment options for Indian customers and PayPal is not the only payment option.

      Eventzilla uses CCAvenue for processing payments in Indian Rupees and it supports all major Indian credit/debit cards plus 35 major Indian bank accounts (ICICI, HDFC, CITI, AXIS, SBI plus 30 other banks)

      Attendees can use their credit / debit cards or directly purchase tickets using their online bank accounts.

      For event organizers based in India:
      Eventzilla collects payments from registrations/ticket sales and sends the check between 1st-to-5th of every month after deducting the fee.

      I have been trying to integrate Online payment option to our website. and we are boggled down by the amount of paper work, stamp paper, legal docs involved.

      is it the same with sites like eventzilla or is their minimal/no paper involved.
