It’s a great offer from you guys considering the fact that there are very few tech blogs which focus on just startups and hope you do emulate/even exceed techcrunch (atleast in the Indian scenario!)

Will be more than glad to attend this event, if you can give me the invite! :)

  2. Ravi on December 9, 2008 at 5:20 pm

TiE is from 16th to 18th. Note the typo in the blog entry
    “Bangalore (Dec 1th-18)”

Are there any cleantech companies which are to be featured in the summit?

  38. Ravi Bhushan on December 9, 2008 at 8:56 pm

    Hey Ashish,

It will be wonderful if we can get passes for this event. As one of the premier entrepreneurship events in India – the TIE Summit will give us unprecdented access to some very knowledgable people. Would love to pick their brains, present our elevator pitch and get a general sense of where they think the industry is moving. The price tag is a bit high for startups like ours operating on a water tight budget. Normally we would give these events a skip – but hopefully, with your help we can make it to this one :) My co-founder in Bangalore, Siddharth, will be our representative should we happen to be the lucky ones.

    Here’s hoping you consider us,

    Cheers!

    Ravi

  39. Sumeet on December 9, 2008 at 9:01 pm

TiE must think about its pricing? so many potential customers could have attended if it was cheaper…
I also didnt choose as 8K is obscene amount of money to ask a startup for.
A free invite is always welcome :)

  40. Nithya Dayal on December 9, 2008 at 9:14 pm

Interested and sure of going :)

I’m writing this comment to NOT put my name in the hat but as a protest on the outrageous price! They should rename this as “TiE Venture Summit”

  42. Vikas on December 9, 2008 at 11:48 pm

    pull my name, please!

  43. Govind Agrawal on December 10, 2008 at 12:23 am

  46. Himanshu Sahani on December 10, 2008 at 11:38 am

Would my chances at random selection improve if I bribe you with an offer for a free design for my favorite (Indian) tech blog – i.e. pluggdin? he he just kidding – but I sooooo want that invite. Make them two, so tht I can bring a date along as well…

  47. Dhruva Krishnan on December 10, 2008 at 12:11 pm

WoW! This is one offer I couldn’t miss out on! So here is my comment. I hope I get lucky :)

  48. Anand D on December 10, 2008 at 12:21 pm

With the kind of speakers lined up ,I don’t think price should be an issue. Yet, I would like to see my chances in random selection.Using Probability in terms of Mathematical equation and “Do what you want to do and the universe will conspire to help you achieve it” .. should work in my favour :)

  49. Kartik on December 10, 2008 at 12:32 pm

    ME.. me .. me :)

GUess i’m the last one to comment on this entry !

    Hey Ashish,

Am I too late? Would love to go there.

    Regards,
    Rahul

  53. Rahul Rao on December 10, 2008 at 12:49 pm

I agree with a lot of folks on here. The fees are a little too prohibitive for a startup. Aren’t we all bootstrapped and struggling here? Shouldn’t we all get an “entrepreneur” discount of some sort? They should make up for their costs by charging the already successful companies who send their middle/top mgmt over. Do you guys agree with me?

Would love to see a discussion around this.

  54. Anand D on December 10, 2008 at 12:51 pm

webpage not displaying my comments, I wonder which offensive word did I use which stopped my comments. Trying again to be the lucky one to get the TIE pass.
