I agree with Dhruva and Aditya. Right now most of the times companies start and don’t even know who they are competing against at the grass root level. Competition can creep up from the most unlikely places. (An example of this is Nokia overtaking Kodak as the worlds largest producer of cameras). If nothing else then the publicity given to smaller start-ups would make it possible for other in the same field to know who all the new players are.

I would like to see more articles about technicalities involved in setting up a startup, once you have an idea i.e. how to register company, best way to register a domain and quickly setup a website etc.

Seems like there are so many takers for the pass. So, let’s see who gets luck. I’m in queue too.

I would like to c these in pluggd:-

1. Status Report of Start-Ups : It would be great if the founders could share about their startup periodically ( every 6 months ), will learn a lot
2. Review of Books – related to Management & Business
3. Live Chat with VC / Startup / etc so that we can discuss in more clarity
4. Live Blogging of Events :- for those who cannot make it
5. Success Stories of entrepreneurs along with their interview ( not only startups )- this will give us lot of insight
6. Debate on certain topics( I know we do on most of the post – but a separate debate section will really bring out the pros and cons of any given subject – keeping in mind the enthusiasm of so many visitors to you site )
7. Management Lesson from Movies – You can learn a lot from Lagaan, Chak De- (which you did write ), The Pursuit of Happiness, You got mail, and many many more – It would be very interesting

For now this is the list, will keep you updated if anything else comes to ma mind , Hope to meet you in Proto

Although covered sometimes, I guess what I miss the most is market statistics. I know you do post them sometimes for mobile or internet space but expanding them beyond those two domains would be great. Secondly, I would also prefer more regular guest posts from industry leaders with insights about their domain and of work and industry. You are anyways doing a great job. Keep it up.

Regular reader, good content. a few suggestions
1. Maybe you can include interviews/videos with upcoming and successful CEO’s with a focus on the key learnings and advice and what does it take to win in the Indian market.
2. Weekly/monthly summary of events startups can attend. You do this already, if you can make it regular, an events directory of sorts will be great. Dont know of an event aggregator site for cities like Bangalore, tier 1 Indian cities.
3. You could look at collaborating with the other startup blogs and run an annual startup awards show. (Techcrunch does a great job of this for the bay area startups).

Looking fwd to proto.in, good talks lined up.

I would like to see more articles on Social Entrepreneurship. Social causes seem to have lost their cause these days.When I was at TiE Summit I was shocked to see that the audience was not as expected – it was more for another session. One thing however that I noticed was how genuine the social entrepreneurs who spoke were. Hats off to them!! I want more people to take social entrepreneurship at least after being a successful entrepreneur.

I would like to see more posts from technology guys writing about technology and their experiences in using their technology.

And entrepreneurs writing about why they thought their startups failed and their experiences. It will also be nice if the number of posts about non-web related startups increased.

Otherwise you people are doing a great job for startup community.

Hey Ashish, would love to see articles about micro-entrepreneurs (especially not from the IT or Internet space). Everyone knows that the local steel dealership or paan-wallah or hotelier are thrifty and smart in their use of resources (real estate, finances, friends & family, etc – the word in Hindi, I think is jugaad) and in coming up with really basic innovations that help in sustaining and growing their businesses. If you can highlight these stories and then draw parallels to the IT/Internet crowd that you get, I feel you can increase your readership as well as help broke people like me to actually afford passes to events like the TiE simmit and the Proto event.

Jokes aside, there are many times that I get really impressed with success stories of really small-time entrepreneurs. That leaves me with a desire to emulate them at many levels. Would love to read more inspiring success stories. It never fails to keep me going.

I am new to this site and appreciate the concept behind this creation...You can work on lot more things .. 1. The Look and feel of the website.. More user friendly.. 2 Publish more of case studies specific to Industries.. 3. Books which are on Entrepreneurs which are useful and have a discussion 4. Send mails alerts about the New startups and the founders.. 5. Articles on failed Startups and discussion on how these could uplifted..
