Announcing the Launch of OpenWeb.Asia Workgroup

openweb.asia

I am glad to announce the launch of openweb.asia, Asia’s first Internet workgroup, an initiative that is aimed at increasing collaboration across Asian markets.

The initiative is being led by Gang Lu of NetVibes (who is a prolific blogger as well; we have been talking over the last few months.)

The idea behind this workgroup is to increase collaboration across the different economies, and we already have representatives from China, Japan, Korea, India, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam and HongKong .

As www’s pendulum swings towards emerging markets, Asian companies have a larger role to play – they need lot more collaboration and the first big thing that’s coming out of this workgroup is the OpenWeb Asia conference (more about that later).
