TED – Ideas worth spreading

If you are looking to expand your horizon, charge your creative cells and in general, you have a strong penchant for new new ideas – go TED.

TED (i.e. Technology, Entertainment and Design) is an annual conference where thought leaders of the world speak about their work and future.

We believe passionately in the power of ideas to change attitudes, lives and ultimately, the world. So we’re building here a clearinghouse that offers free knowledge and inspiration from the world’s most inspired thinkers, and also a community of curious souls to engage with ideas and each other. Over time, you’ll see us add talks and performances from other events, and solicit submissions from you, as well.

TED site has a great collection of videos based on themes like Technology, Entertainment, Design, Business, Science, Culture etc – in short, something for each one of us.

TED conference videos are free for download and I strongly recommend each one of you to give TED a spin. It’s a very very rich experience. Believe me.

My favs: River controls the Internet, Next web innovation and many more.
If you have a concern regarding downloading heavy video files [and if you are located in India], please let me know – I can arrange for a DVD [of all the videos].

Contribute to TED by spreading your own idea.

      Hello Ashish,

Its great to see a post on TED. I have seen 2 videos of TED (one of them is of Jeffhan about Multiple Touch Screen). I tried to download other videos from the site but because of the internet speed, I couldn’t do that and I thought I just missed them. But, its really good to hear from you that you can arrange for a DVD of all 73 videos. I would be very glad if you could send me the DVD. You can contact me through gmail (avinashsonee@gmail.com) for further suggestions.

      Thanks.

and Great Blogging – Keep it up.

Well, here’s one more who is interested in the TED conference video. I really love to watch them on my PC but I prefer a DVD if possible.

By the way, can anyone provide a copy of the ‘official’ TED DVD of 2007?
