Burrp Launches Small Business Service – Receive Business Page Statistics, Activity..and more
Burrp has launched small business service enabling business owners to respond to users reviews as well as manage their business pages by adding photos, videos, events, deals and announcements.
Somewhat on the lines of Google’s freshly launched Business center dashboard, Burrp will provide business owners with data such as tracking competition, statistics of traffic and activity on their business page and services like gaining visibility on major search engines and self-managing SMS campaigns etc.(more)
This is quite a logical extension to Burrp’s product portfolio – they have built an authority in lifestyle business search (that’s why Infomedia18 acquired burrp) and businesses will even pay them to upload rich media as well as control the negative reviews.
For now, most of the feature are free and Burrp only charges for features like SMS campaigns etc.
In US, Yelp has been questioned for removing bad reviews for a fee as well – this is a thin line, once you accept payment from small businesses and that’s where Burrp needs to maintain it’s neutrality.
Do expect Burrp to soon morph into a pure local search play in another few months.
