		<description>Tweetknot allows you to create a private communities for your enterprise needs. Also you can make Knot follow any RSS feed (can be feed of your corporate blog). Tweetknot is as good as yammer and it doesn&#039;t cost :).

		<description>One of my colleagues had installed laconica for internal use. Never caught up. Too difficult to search for people, follow etc. Plus lack of ready desktop clients. This was 7-8 months back -- somethings may have changed.</description>

		<description>An easier non techie alternative is to use services like TweetKnot which provide an easier way to use twitter (not that twitter is too difficult to use).

It is also interesting to note how these guys will make money in both the consumer and business scenarios. Enterprise (as Microsoft has shown once and agian) is usualy the cash cow - and consumerization of IT is bound to have a very interesting recursive effect
