Block Spammy Calls with XBLOCKR

NDNC is an epic failure and now that tele-marketers are back in action, there is a dire need to have a call blocker app that can help one manage incoming calls.

Block Spammy Calls using xblockr

Block Spammy Calls

XBlockr, a product by Bangalore based Aquilonis Technology is a boon to all those who want to block pesky spammy calls.

The app is available for smartphones (GSM as well as CDMA) and is quite simple to use – the menus are activated during the incoming call and you are presented with four options

  • Duck
  • Duck Always
  • Drop
  • Drop Always

Choose an option and there you go – the free version is active only till 100 calls.

What’s interesting about XBlockr is that it works as-promised (a lot of mobile apps fail this test) and is too simple to use.

Aquilonis, the startup behind XBlockr is also into enterprise business and licenses its cross platform mobile technology [recently signed up an agreement wherein XBLOCKR will be available to all the customers of 17 operators spanning Middle East countries. ]

If you are frustrated with spammy calls, you have a friend in XBlockr. Do give the product a ring and share your comments.

Folks at Aquilonis are really innovative and there are many more gr8 mobile products to come. I have worked very closely with them hence can vouch for it. This is a call to all of those who think Indian startups can,t come up with global products.

Kudos to Rahul and his team!

    4. Roy says:

Any sir why is NDNC a epic failure? Just because there are fewer registrations? How is that a failure sir.

If people who registered at NDNC do not get unwanted calls – THE PURPOSE IS VERY WELL SERVED. And indeed i stopped getting any sales calls after i registered at NDNC.

Is this a paid post? Come out clean.

Call blocking is a feature that is simple feature to develop. :) . Infact most service providers provide this facility too.

I don’t know about NDNC failure much. You should have explored this product further as it is not about call blocking only. I have been on this with my N97 for quite some time it serves a lot than just call blocking.

Have you used call blocking from service provider and are you satisfied? I have used and I know that it is a pain.

XBLOCKR is a piece o crap. Will not stay resident in memeory so when an unwanted call comes in, program isn’t active and lets it through. Even if program happens to be active, it will not responsd to duck/drop/dovert buttons. Tried blacklist and same thing….allows numbers through. No support and NO customer service. SOFTWARE IS A SCAM! Save your money and AVOID!
