Bharti MTN Deal Worth $23 Bn
Bharti pulled out of MTN deal, a year back and is back now with acquiring 49% stake in MTN, South Africa-based telecom major.
In turn, MTN and its shareholders would acquire an approximate 36% economic interest in Bharti, of which 25% would be held by MTN with the remainder held directly by MTN shareholders.
The total deal value (both ways) is expected to be in the range of $23 Billion.
Singapore Telecommunications, a major existing shareholder of Bharti, will continue to be a strategic partner and significant shareholder after the implementation of the potential transaction.

Is this deal final or needs to be signed as yet? And what was the deal worth when these guys tried to enter in a deal with the MTN team last year? I am not sure if Anil from Reliance has shown any interest so far.
