[Reshma, dentist in earlier life and now with Pinstorm is attending Barcamp for the first time. She shares her experiences]
Here’s an attempt at taking in all that bar Camp Mumbai 2008 can provide a non-geek like me.
I’m armed with:
- An open mind
- Oodles of enthusiasm
- Loads of inquisitiveness
What I think I’ll love about BCM:
As I see it, it is going to be all visionaries at BCM – people with passion, people with gumption to take on the world. People who might have minted 6 figure salaries easily but have refused to take the time tested route to roti, kapda aur makaan (can relate to them!).
What I think I’ll hate about BCM:
Mayhem, confusion, the laid back attitude. I’m just betting on intuition to guide me tomorrow. Let’s see how that works!
Interesting sessions I plan to attend:
Firetalk:
Malapati Rajashekar http://ruralindia.blogspot.com/ – because I’m also passionate about using technology & education to make a difference to Rural India.
Product demo:
Rohan Dighe http://www.socialwebfactory.com – I’m into online marketing and am itching to use the social media boom to my advantage.
Technology:
- RatanKK – (If listening to my immediate boss is not a crime)
- A Short Tale of the Long Tail – A talk cum discussion, Team Bloozle – I have my opinions on this topic.
- Thinkskills – Contours of various thinking strategies for various occasions – a thought starter,
- Alok Asthana, www.mind-skills.com – what else can you expect from a De Bono follower?
Think I should be attending something else? Please leave a comment to educate me.

“Mayhem, confusion, the laid back attitude.”
perfect environment for geeks (like me) :p
